Background: higher prevalence of chronic kidney disease has been found in genetic relatives of patients with end stage renal disease. Objectives: To assess the levels of urea, creatinine and urea-creatinine ratio among first degree relatives of chronic kidney disease at Khartoum state.Materials and Methods: this was Cross Sectional study conducted during the period from July to December 2021. 92 blood samples were collected from first degree relatives of CKD at Different center. All samples were tested for urea and creatinine levels using Biosystem BTS-310, UCR was calculated using formula. Data analysis was carried out by means of statistical package for social science (SPSS version 21).Results: The mean age of participants ranged between 13-65 years with mean age of 32.1 years. Females (52) were found to have higher frequency than males (40). The frequency of BMI categories was found to be 17 obese, 25 overweight and 50 normal weights. The mean BMI was (25.1 ± 5.6). The study revealed no significance differences in the mean levels of urea, creatinine and Urea-Creatinine Ratio between Normal, Overweight and Obese Groups. Also, the results demonstrated significant increase in the mean level of creatinine in males compared to females (p value = 0.02), however no difference was observed in the levels of urea and Urea-Creatinine Ratio. No associations observed between Age, UCR and BMI.Conclusion: the study concludes that, there are no association between urea, creatinine UCR and BMI.
