الملخص

Le géranium rosat (Pelargonium graveolens L.) est une plante à parfum largement répandue en Algérie. La valorisation de ses métabolites second aires aromatiques offre de nouvelles perspectives dans l’industrie pharmaceutique. Cette stratégie peut contribuer au développement durable de notre pays.L’extraction de la fraction aromatique (huile essentielle-hydrolat) de la partie aérienne fraîche du géranium rosat a été accomplie par hydro distillation. Le rendement moyen en huile essentielle est de 0,2%. L’essence aromatique dissoute dans l’hydrolat (0,05%) a été récupérée par condensation de l’eau aromatique avec un solvant organique (éther diéthyli que).Les résultats des analyses physico-chimiques de l’huile essentielle sont en accord avec ceux des normes AFNOR en vigueur. La caractérisation chromatographique (CG-SM) a permis de classer cette huile en « chémo type Citronellol cv Chine ». Celle-ci, reconnue pour sa richesse en composés terpéniqueset hydrocarbonés (Citronellol, Formate de citronellyle et Géraniol), est très appréciée en parfumerie.L’hydrolat, de part son profil riche en composés oxygénés et hydrophiles, est totalement différent de l’huile essentielle.L’étude antimicrobienne de l’huile essentielle a révélé une grande action inhibitrice sur la croissance des germes pathogènes aussi bien en milieu géloséqu’ en micro atmosphère. La fraction aromatique, incorporée dans une crème dermique hydrophile, a présenté une bonne stabilité physico-chimique, rhéologique et microbiologique.La crème dermique obtenue possède in vivo d’intéressantes propriétés pharmacologiques. Elle ne présente aucune toxicité ou irritation dermique. Cette crème est douée de remarquables propriétés cicatrisante et anti-inflammatoire. Elle conduit à des utilisations dermatologiques et ouvre la voie à des recherches quis eraient éventuellement fécondes.

Rose scented geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) is a perfume plant grown in Algeria. This study is an argument to boost this culture and to insufflate new prospects to enhance its smell secondary metabolites in the drug company. This will contribute to sustainable development of our country. The essential oil of the plant was extracted by hydro distillation which give an average yield of 0,2 %. Furthermore, the oil dissolved in the hydrosol, which represents 0,05 %, was recovered by organic solvent (diethyl ether). The results of the physico-chemical analysis of essential oil are in agreement with those of standards (AFNOR) and its characterization by GC-MS has allowed to classify it with “chémo type Citronellol cv Chine” which is very rich in terpenic and hydrocarbon compounds (Citronellol, citronellyl format, Geraniol). The profile of hydrosol which is rich of oxygen and hydrophilic compounds is totally different from the essential oil. The antimicrobial study of aromatic fraction showed high inhibitory action on the growth of pathogens as well in medium agar as volatile phase. The same compound, embedded in hydrophilic skin cream, presented a good physico-chemical, rheological and microbiological stability and quality. In therapy, this skin cream has interesting pharmacological properties in vivo. It is free on toxicity on dermal irritation and endowed with remarkable properties healing and anti-inflammatory drug leading to dermatological uses. The future will show us the real impact of these recent acquisitions.
