الملخص

Notre étude porte sur la caractérisation physico-chimique et bactériologique deseaux usées prélevées à partir de la station d’épuration de la ville de Guelma (STEP), et ceci afin d’évaluer l’efficacité du traitement en vue de la protection du milieu récepteur.L’échantillonnage a été effectué sur une période de deux mois (Avril et Mai 2021).Des principaux paramètres physicochimiques (pH, température, conductivité,turbidité, oxygène dissous, DCO, DBO5, MES) ont été mesurés dans les échantillons prélevés à l’entrée et à la sortie du STEP. L’analyse bactériologique porte sur le dénombrement des germes totaux, des germes indicateurs de contamination fécale, des streptocoques fécaux et des ASR et la recherche des germes pathogènes.Les résultats obtenus montrent une diminution dans les valeurs de ces paramètres et ceci peut être due à l’efficacité du traitement d’épuration, les valeurs enregistrées à la sortie de la STEP sont conformes aux normes recommandées par l’OMS.À la lumière de ces résultats, on a pu constater que la station de Guelma fonctionne d’une façon efficace et régulière.

Our study focuses on the physico-chemical and bacteriological characterization of wastewater collected from the wastewater treatment plant of the city of Guelma (WWTP), in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment for the protection of the receiving environment. The sampling was carried out over a period of two months (April and May 2021).The main physicochemical parameters (pH, temperature, conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, COD, BOD5, and SS) were measured in the samples taken at the inlet and outlet of the WWTP. The bacteriological analysis included the enumeration of total germs, indicator germs of faecal contamination, faecal streptococci and RSA and the search for pathogens. The results obtained show a decrease in the values of these parameters and this may be due to the efficiency of the purification treatment, the values recorded at the exit of the WWTP are in accordance with the standards recommended by the WHO. In the light of these results, it could be seen that the plant of Guelma is operating efficiently and regularly.
