ترجمة الملخص

The study aimed to investigate the current usage of multimedia by English language teachers in the Directorate of Education in Jerash Governorate to enhance English language skills among elementary stage students from the perspective of their teachers. Thestudy included all English language teachers in the elementary stage in Jerash Governorate for the academic year (2023/2024), totaling 478 (teachers. The study sample consisted of 210 randomly selected teachers. A descriptive approach was used, and a questionnaire was developed as a study tool. The results indicated that the current usage of multimedia by English language teachers in the Directorate of Education in Jerash Governorate to enhance English language skills among elementary stage students, as perceived by their teachers, was high. Regarding the areas, speaking skills ranked highest, while reading skills ranked lowest, both with high ratings. The study results also showed statistically significant differences in the perceptions of English language teachers in the Directorate of Education in Jerash Governorate regarding the use of multimedia, attributed to gender in all areas and overall, favoring males. Additionally, statistically significant differences were found in the perceptions of English language teachers regarding the use of multimedia, attributed to educational qualification in all areas and overall, favoring bachelor's degree holders. Furthermore, statistically significant differences were found in the perceptions of English language teachers regarding the use of multimedia, attributed to experience, favoring teachers with less than (5) years of experience in all areas and overall. Based on the study findings, the study recommends conducting specialized training courses on multimedia usage to develop English language skills for experienced teachers, and activating training workshops within schools to facilitate peer interaction among English language teachers.
