The Reform and Rehabilitation Centres Law No. (6) of 1998 regulated the provisions relating to the rights of inmates and their oversight.This study dealt with the rights of inmates in Palestinian legislation, where the provisions relating to the rights of inmates inside prisons and how to monitor them were studied, by researching the concept of prison as well as the concept of inmates,as well as to the rights enjoyed by the inmate within penal institutions. Rights and the extent of management's commitment to these rights .For this reason, our study is based on the rights of inmates in Palestinian legislation and oversight over them.In this study, the researcher followed the analytical approach, and this study was divided into three chapters.In the first chapter, we talked about: What are inmates and prisons in Palestinian legislation, during which we explained the concept and what are prisons in Palestinian legislation, then we talked about the concept of what inmates are in Palestinian legislation, and then we addressed In the second chapter of it: the legal rights of inmates in Palestinian legislation, during which we talked about the social and health rights of the inmate, then we dealt with the economic and political rights of the inmate and finally we moved in the third chapter to talk about: Oversight of the rights of prisoners in prisons, where we dealt with the administrative control over the rights of prisoners In prisons, and then judicial oversight of the rights of prisoners imprisons.In conclusion, the researcher reached several results and recommendations, which were presented at the end of this study, where he reached the most important results,which are the penal institutions that have emerged from the traditional nature of prison and have a pivotal role and great importance in embodying the state’s policy in the social reintegration of prisoners by creating opportunities for adaptation within the penal institution and acceptance Therapeutic programs, to prevent recurrence,and the most important recommendations are to provide more effective mechanisms to reform inmates that require taking into account the special circumstances of each inmate according to his psychological, social and health status, as well as his ability to bear freedom-depriving punishment, by strengthening the mechanisms for of re-education and social reintegration of prisoners .
