Volunteering plays an important role in community development,which in this sense is of special importance, for its role in development, as well as what it means from a positive social values and links. The importance and the role of the volunteering lies not the level of the individual only, but on the level of society as a whole and what it means to raise the economic and social level and improve the living conditions of destitute groups, and also in saving the human values, and therefore it is the principle of the social solidarity and real investment for leisure... This reveals a very important issue that volunteer work which is related with the charitable work, and which is a major human value formed in giving in all its forms, it is civilized behavior, which can not grow, but only in the societies that has advanced level of culture, awareness and responsibility, and philanthropy are done by charities, civil institutions and international organization, where the citizens collective voluntary activity was known to the mankind since the ancient times and which has gone through set of historical developments until it took its present form, settled by orderly laws and regulations which works on safeguarding and protecting it and when we talk about charities it means that we are talking about collective volunteer organized action. From this sense,the researcher distributed a questionnaire to the charities volunteers and beneficiaries surveyed in Aleppo and concluded several results,and the most important is that the volunteer work can play an effective role only through charities that takes a humanitarian nature and it purpose is to help the needy without taking profit, gains and personal interests of it.
