ترجمة الملخص

The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between foreign direct investment and domestic investment in the Syrian Arab Republic during the period (1990-2010)and then study the impact of this relationship on economic growth in Syria during the study period.By analyzetimeseries data for the three variables (GDP, FDI, DI)during the period (1990-2010), the stability tests were applied to these time series, the Cointegration test, the causal test, and the Vectorial Auto Regressive model (VAR).The study found the following results:There is a positive causal relationship between economic growth and domestic investment.There is a one-way relationship from economic growth to foreign direct investment, that is, growth rates and economic openness policies have affected FDI inflows to Syria, while the causal relationship of foreign direct investment to economic growth has been absent.The relationship between FDI and domestic investment is (crowd out), which will have negative effects on the economic growth rate during the period under review.Finally, a standard model-based on Vectorial Auto Regressive(VAR) models was obtained,that helps to predict GDP, gross capital formation and FDI in the situation of a stable investment climate in the Syrian Arab Republic.
