الملخص

Depuis toujours, l’occupation du sol est en évolution, et chaque époque de croissance démographique s’est traduite par une extension des villes et des villages, voire par la création de nouveaux noyaux urbanisés, d’ailleurs les villes sahariennes algériennes et a l’instar de la ville de Timimoune sont les plus grands exemples. Ces villes présentes un disfonctionnement engendrant du conflit crée entre les noyaux historiques et les nouvelles urbanisations. Ainsi l’obligation de rependre aux besoins sociaux de la population n’a fait que la création de nouveaux établissements, certes des nouveaux tissus urbains engendrant ainsi le délaissement des centres anciens. Par conséquent les villes sahariennes aujourd’hui présentent une morphologie urbaine fragmentée en plusieurs tissus avec des zones urbaines dévitalisées. L’intervention sur le champ culturel de ces villes peut être bénéfique, avec le nouveau concept des quartiers culturels élaboré dans plusieurs pays en Europe et l’Amérique du nord, d’abord pour les richesses patrimoniales que les villes sahariennes englobent, mais aussi le grand rôle que joue la culture sur la ville toutes en préservent son identité culturelle et traditionnelle.

Land use has always been evolving, and each period of demographic growth has resulted to an extension of towns and villages, even in the creation of new urbanized nuclei, moreover the Algerian Saharan towns and cities. like the town of Timimoun are the greatest examples. These cities present a dysfunction generating conflict created between the historical centresand new urbanizations. Thus, the obligation to meet the social needs of the population only resulted in the creation of new establishments, admittedly new urban fabrics, thus generating the abandonment of old centers. Consequently, Saharan cities today present an urban morphology fragmented into several tissues with devitalized urban areas. Intervention in the cultural field of these cities can be beneficial, with the new concept of cultural districts developed in several countries in Europe and North America, first for the heritage wealth they encompass, but also the great role that culture plays in the city while preserving its cultural and traditional identity.
