The global economy faced a real financial crisis ,which is considered one of the worst crisis, that effect the economy in both developed and developing countries alike.The manifestations of the liquidity crisis led to collapse of many of the international banks.Since as the liquidity is one of the most thread jobs in banks and a prime concern in their daily work, so this study comes to demonstrate the impact of the crisis on the liquidity of the commercial banks in general and the commercial bank of Syria particularly.The research aims to identify the causes of the global financial crisis in 2008,how it developed and its stages.The research identifies the impact of this crisis on the liquidity in the Syrian commercial bank because of the importance of liquidity in maintaining theintegrity of banking business.In order to achieve these goals worked researcher on the study of the reality of the banking business in the commercial bank of Syria( public administration) during the period (2007-2012) adopted at the analysis of the financial statements of the bank and the analysis of financial indicators and ratios related and compared with the year 2007 adopted by the researcher year basis, has also been testing the research hypotheses by applying the test Unpaired.t.test data bank for the years (2004-2010) andthe results showed the following: -There are significant differences between the mean(liquidity ratios, loans) in the Commercial Bank of Syria before and after the global financial crisis. -There is no statistically significant differences between the mean (deposits, profits) in the Commercial Bank of Syria before and after the global financial crisis.
