ترجمة الملخص

This study has aimed at finding out the impact of using McCarthy strategy (4MAT) in acquiring Mathematical concepts and in developing geometric thinking in math for the seventh grade students of the schools belonging to the Directorate of Education in the center of Hebron governorate.Thisstudyhas included (121) of the seventh grade students (54 males and 67 females) divided into four study sections in two public schools in Hebron. Two of the sections (Control group) one for males and the other for females, have studied in a traditional way. On the other hand, the two other sections (Experimental group) one for males and the other for females, have studied following the Format strategy.In order to achieve the study goals, tools of the study have been prepared; the acquisition of Mathematical concepts test and the geometric thinking test, both tests were verified appropriately. Tests have been applied on the two groups :(The Control and the Experimental ones) before and after approach. However, to define the impact of McCarthy strategy (4MAT) in acquiring geometric concepts and in developing the geometric concepts, means and standard deviations and ANCOVA have been calculatedto compare the average of students' performance in acquiring geometric concepts test and the geometric thinking test. Material has been prepared which has consisted of teacher's and student's guide according to McCarthy strategy(4MAT).The study has come out with a set of results; the existence of statistical differences in the students' acquisition of mathematical concepts and in theirgeometric thinking attributed to teaching method in favor of McCarthy strategy (4MAT). Moreover, the existence of statistical differences in students' acquisition of mathematical concepts and in their geometric thinking attributed to gender in favor of females. Furthermore, the existence of statistical differences in students acquisition of mathematical concepts and the geometric thinking attributed to the level of achievement in favor of high achievement students. خ‌However, there was an absence of statistical differences in students' acquisition of mathematical concepts and the geometric thinking attributed to method and its relation to the gender or to the level of achievement.This study has come out with a number of recommendations ,most of which important ones are:to choose McCarthy strategy (4MAT) in teaching math, as well as training teachers on how to use this strategy and to make more studies and scientific researches concerning McCarthy strategy (4MAT) at the level of a variety of grades and on other subjects
