- The experimental work was conducted at the level of the palm grove and the greenhouse in the region of Ouargla in order to study the place of Coccinellidae in these two agro-systems. During the study period from November 2017 to May 2018 and with the use of eight sampling methods, we counted 4,475 individuals distributed among three classes, 16 orders, and 66 families. Insecta are the most common in both study sites. Seven species of Coccinellidae and one species of Nitidulidae were recorded, belonging to three subfamilies, among which Coccinellinae are the most abundant with a rate of 64 %. The palm grove is the richest in lady beetle species, with eight species recorded (609 individuals), with a predominance of Cybocephalus seminulum (59.29 %), Pharoscymnus ovoideus (13.63 %), and Pharoscymnus numidicus (13.46 %). At the greenhouse, only four species (325 individuals) were identified, namely Coccinella algerica (36.30 %), Coccinella novemnotata (42.15 %), Hippodamia tredecimpunctata (15.38 %), and Coccinella undecimpunctata (6.15 %). Coccidiphagous species are the most abundant in the palm grove (86 %), whereas greenhouse ladybugs are aphidiphagous (100
