Evaluation of Normal Amniotic Fluid Volume in Second and Third Trimester Using Ultrasonography

الملخص

This descriptive study was conducted in order to assess the amnioticfluids volume in pregnant women in second and third trimester. The studywas used the universal protocol in the work of ultrasound for pregnantwomen through data collection sheet that were collected in the periodfrom December 2018 to December 2019 , it was collect from Al BanJaded hospital in Khartoum State . The study aimed to identify normalvalue of amniotic fluid volume in pregnant women in second and thirdtrimester to correlate gestation age and maternal age and weight withamniotic fluid volume. The result outcome from this study is that theassessment of the amniotic fluid volume is 100%.Study conclusion, this study shows that most Sudanese pregnant ladieshave normal amniotic fluid volume on the other hand abnormal amnioticfluid volume is rare ultrasonography finding.Recommendations assessment of amniotic fluid volume is an essentialpart for antenatal care and follow up by u\s should be done in all pregnantladies to predict prenatal complication.Early diagnosis and better management of fetal abnormalities incidenceof polyhydramnios.
