The world witnessed a Cold War that changed many political and economic issues. Both theUS and Russia sought an absolute control through the invasion and intervention in othercountries. In 1991, the US won the war, however, this did not stop Russia from entering a newchallenge to recover its power as during the Soviet Union times. Furthermore, after invadingCrimea, Putin’s Russia wanted to take control over Ukraine. For this reason, the US imposedsanctions against Russia. This punishment did not prevent Putin from destroying the 2016 USelection credibility. Spying was a tool for him to destroy Clinton who was sure that she wouldwin the presidency. This whole conflict is called the New Cold War, there is a debate aboutwhether this war has already started or it will start. In addition, the US is against the seizure ofUkraine into Russia instead of the Association Agreement. The annexation of Crimea, theintervention in Ukraine crisis, and Putin’s meddling in the US election are what makes thecurrent relations between them worse. These events, especially Ukraine crisis, mightnegatively influence their relations.
