study was entitled “The role of the guidance counselor in achieving psychological adjustment among third-year secondary school students.”The study aimed to identify the role played by the school guidance counselor in achieving psychological adjustment among third-year secondary school students.We used the descriptive approach We applied a measure of the role of school guidance and counselling, and a measure of psychological adjustment. The study population consisted of (100) male and female students, which were selected by a simple random method from the study population. The study concluded with:1_There is no relationship between the role of the school guidance counselor and psychological adjustment from the point of view of third-year secondary school students.2_There are no differences between males and females in the level of psychological adjustment among third-year secondary school students.3_The degrees of psychological adjustment do not differ according to the “scientific” and “literary” specialization among third-year secondary school students.
