الملخص

Ce travail présente les premières données sur la faune souterraine du bassin versant de la Tafna(Nord-Ouest algérien). En effet, 12 puits, sélectionnés au niveau de ce bassin, font l'objet d'une étudesuivie pendant une année, allant du mois de Mars 2005 jusqu'au mois de Mars 2006, en utilisant deuxméthodes de prélèvement de la faune des puits: la méthode phréatobiologique et la méthode desnasses, et avec un temps de séjour des nasses de 24 heures.Avec 39 taxons et 8309 individus, dont 5 sont considérés comme des espèces stygobies, la faunerécoltée dans les eaux souterraines de cette région est dominée par le groupe des Crustacés. Le suivi dela croissance larvaire du genre Typhlocirolancz (Crustacea Isopoda Cirolanidae), établi sur environ6000 individus, a permis de déterminer son cycle biologique qui s'étale au-delà de 4 années.L'eau de la nappe phréatique sous saturé en oxygène, très minéralisée, présente un gradient naturel desalinité et des teneurs variables mais toujours élevés.Mots clés:Stygofaune, diversité, puits, Tafna, Nord-Ouest algérien.SUMMAR YThis work présents the first data on underground fauna of the basin area of Tafna (North-westernAlgerian). Indeed, 12 wells, selected on the level of this basin, are the subject of a study followed duringone year, from Mars 2005 to Mars 2006, by using two methods of taking away of the fauna of thewelis: phreatobiologic method and method of trap, and with a residence time of the 24 hour for trap.With 39 taxa and 8309 individu ais, of which 5 are considered as species stygobies, the fauna collectedin groundwater of this area is dominated by the group of Crustacea. The follow-up of the larval growthof the kind Typhiocirolana (Crustacea Isopoda Cirolanidae), established on approximately 6000individuals, made il possible to déterminé its biological cycle which is spread out beyond 4 years.The water of the ground water under saturated with oxygen, very mineral-bearing, présents a naturalgradient of salinity and variable but aiways high contents..Key words:Stygobiont fauna, diversity, well, Tafna, algerian North-West.
