- The pleuromutiline is an antibiotic veterinarian usage produced by Pleurotus mutilis. In fact the biosynthesis of such antibiotic that belongs to macrolides is merely a bacterial production, the amount of the yielded antibiotic is globally representing for the consumed carbon less than 1 % while the culture of the producing micro-organism. The main scope for the present work is devoted to the fermentation of the pleuromutiline to determine and to model the behaviour of the producing stump of the pleuromutiline under the conditions of various concentrations of carbon and nitrogen. The production kinetics of the pleuromutiline has been carried out in order assess the influence of various parameters of the culture medium (pH, temperature, carbon and nitrogen sources effect) The effect of the pH on the physiology of the pleurotus mutilis cultivated in batch culture has shown that the optimal pH for the production of the pleuromutiline is nearby 6,5. The effect of the temperature, parameter in relation with to ratio has shown that lower are temperatures lower is the production. The source effect for carbon and nitrogen has been checked in the aim of increasing the ratio and reducing the production cost for the pleuromutiline. The results have proved that the hydrolysed starch in a concentration of 70 g/L is the most profitable substratum and that the mixture of 40 g/L corn steeps with 10 g/L some flour of the soya grade 2 yield a maximal production for pleuromutiline. The modelling of the kinetics of fermentation of the pleuromutiline contains three kinetic parameters.- The biomass: the mathematical model governing (regression) the phenomenon is an Exp.3P1Md while the physical model describing the kinetics of the cellular growth is Monod. - The sugar: the applicable model is according to Yldfert, while the physical model is governed by the equation of Luedeking-Piret. -The title or the antibacterial activity follows a polynomial model. The equation of Luedeking-Piret describes the kinetics of formation for pleuromutiline. The mathematical models used for the kinetics of fermentation for the pleuromutiline agree highly with the studied phenomena.
