At the level of the storage and distribution center, centrifugal pumps have an important role for such installations, since they are responsible for moving the hydrocarbon products between the different installations of the storage and distribution center: storage park, the road and rail unloading unit, and road loading unit. Pumps are classified in the category of vital machines whose unavailability immediately results in loss of production and time. They can also be the site of incidents or even serious accidents directly threatening the operational safety of other machines as well as the safety of personnel. The work proposed to us by the Oued-Aissi Tizi-Ouzou storage and distribution center consisted of the optimization of maintenance by Analysis of Failure Modes, their Effects, and their Criticality (FMEA) and propose a good solution to each problem likely to affect the normal operation of the pumps, with different types of maintenance.
