- The search was conducted in a greenhouse(4*6m)growing tomato plant in sand nutrient culture with variable ratios of Ca:Mg and Kin the nutrient solution. The aim was to evaluate productivity parameters, marketable fruit production, fruit quality characteristics, and nutrients uptake and distribution between leaves and fruits. The experiment consisted of four Ca:Mg ratios (4:6, 5:5, 7.5:2.5, and 10:0.5 mM/L), along with three K concentrations 0.5, 3, and 4.5 mM/L in the nutrient solution. There were 12 treatments each consist of three replicates. In spite of the increase in weight of fruits with increasing Ca:Mg ratios and potassium concentrations, the increase in fruit number on the plant with increasing Ca:Mg ratio to (5:5)and 3 mMK has the main effect on plant productivity and marketable fruits. In this treatment plants produced 49 fruit/plant resulted from 5 fruit punches. The highest fruit production reached 4.72 kg/plant (fruit from 5 punches) in treatment Ca:Mg (7.5:2.5) and 3 mM/L-1K. Most of the physiological disorder symptoms spread on fruits was blotchy shoulders, which was associated directly with low potassium concentration in the growth medium, which negatively influenced the marketable fruit production.Physiological disorder symptoms on fruits along withfruit diameter(< 47 mm) decreased marketable fruit production to 8% of total in treatment Ca:Mg (5:5) and 0.5 mM/L-1, whereas marketable fruit production were 95% in the same Ca:Mg ratio and 4.5 mM/L-1K. pH dropped in fruits with increasing Ca:Mg ratios at all K concentrations in the nutrient solution. The reverse was true with titra table total acidity. TSS increased as Ca increased in the nutrient solution if K supply was adequate(4.5 mM), and reached 6.52%in Ca:Mg ratio (10:0.5). Vitamin C took the same trend as TSS and values were 30-45 which are higher than normally reported (15-25 mg/100 g). Nitrate concentrations, while increasing with increasing Ca and K concentrations in the nutrient solutions, were within normal range (less than 400 mg/L-1).Nitrogen concentrations in leaves increased with increasing calcium concentrations in the presence of high concentrations of potassium in the growth medium.A gradual decrease in phosphorus concentrations in the leaves was observed with increasing calcium concentrations in the growth medium. Potassium had a positive effect on phosphorus concentrations in the fruit. There was an antagonistic relationship between Ca, Mg and K nutrients, as the increase in the concentration of an element decreases the concentration of other element cation.
