ترجمة الملخص
Muslim world has witnessed political and economic historic events. It suffered from wars and calamities. It had to confront difficulties and crises which aroused the world attention in the East and the West during the Middle Ages. Crusader invasion from the West, followed by the Mughal coming from the east were some of these events. During these wars, Arab Muslim Orient was suffering from political and ideological split, in sync with other wars in the West. Islamic Front in the Levant was going through serious division that was abbreviating the unresolved acute political crisis between Abbasid and Fatimid Khelvas. Levant and its cities played an essential role in leading Jihad against Crusaders in an era when Arab Muslim region was desperately in need for Islamic unity to face of Crusader invasion. The prime location of Golan and its cities, including Banias, made it a connecting point of the main roads that link the neighboring Arab countries. It was a congestion point for trade caravans coming from the Hijaz, Yemen and Heerah, also from Mediterranean ports. This made it the center of civil and cultural interaction since ancient historical times. The importance of this location in terms of transportation and transit was significant since it was linking the most important civil cities of the Levant ; Damascus and Jerusalem, where the impact of its location was noticed clearly since it was a cross road through its history as a war arena in time of war and a trade route in peacetime. The significance of Banias and its castle had increased during Crusades war time 488-690 AH/1095-1291AD. It became a conflict zone between Muslims and Crusaders and a superior base for the forces of Damascus. Crusaders and Muslims were shifting over its control for a period, due to its strategic location which controls the communication ways between Damascus, Galilee, Tyre Coast, Sida and the western Bekaa , because it was the first defense center for Damascus against the Jerusalem Kingdom. Crusades which were carried out by Western Europe against the Levant in the fifth and sixth Higri centuries, eleventh and twelfth centuries AD are considered a serious reversal in Europe history during the Middle Ages. As they were apparently a salvation project for Jerusalem and Jesus Christ tomb peace, but they targeted grabbing the Holy land in the Levant. In these circumstances, which were experienced by the Muslim world in its struggle with the greedy political Crusader invasion which was aiming to expand its property in the Islamic territories, also economically by controlling the best trade routes in the Islamic orient that were passing through the Levant and Egypt. Fighting crusaders burden during this era was Ayyubid’s responsibility; Salah Alddeen was able to handle his duties well due to the wide and deep religious impact of his personality which helped him to succeeded in building a tight country in Egypt the Levant, and in the Arab peninsula that was a solid base led to the unity of Muslims under his leadership.Notes on military relations in Ayyubid era that had a close association with political relations were directing the military ones. But after the end of a conflict, a military outcome was able to redirect the political move to change the nature of political relations. The military strategy of Ayyubid kingdom were generally based on avoiding war with the Crusaders and holding a series of peace treaties with them. The means of this policy were available; each of them had its expense and there was no absolute political response, nor a permanent political or military dependency, but only mutual interest and benefits Defending and uniting the Islamic countries was not the only factor of Ayyubies’ fame , they worked on the economical, social, intellectual and scientific aspects. They kept revitalizing science and enhancing its position in the whole country, they built a professional scientific institutions such as schools, institutes and they gave much care for literary and medical. Levant is an ancient civilized land, played critical roles in the operated since the dawn of history, critical roles in the orient history since the beginning of history. It was since old times an attention point to greedy invaders; it is one of the worlds heavens. It has a remarkable, important and strategic location which controls transportation ways that were linking many parts of the globe in East and West.
