Nurses' knowledge regarding nursing care of patients with Coronary at wad Medani heart diseases and surgery, Gezira State, Sudan 2017

الملخص

A coronary stent is a tube-shaped device placed in the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart, to keep the arteries open in the treatment of coronary heart disease. Nurses play a vital role in educating, preventing complications and managing the patient during and after the procedure. A descriptive hospital base - study was conducted at Wad Medani heart disease and surgery center, aimed to assess nurses' knowledge regarding nursing care of patients with stent the heart during the period of the study from March to April (2017). The result showed regarding nurses' knowledge reading coronary patient were good knowledge 81.5%. (96.2% and 92.5%) of the study sample responded with correct complete answers regarding definition of a coronary stent and medical uses of the stent respectively. (77.3% and 88.7%) of the study sample responded with correct complete answers regarding during angioplasty and generally angioplasty uses respectively. (69.8%, 73.6% and 37.7) of the study sample responded with correct complete answers regarding desired outcomes, risk factors and desired outcomes respectively. The study concluded that: almost on nurses' knowledge regarding nursing care of patients with stent the heart at Wad Medani heart diseases and surgery were knowledgeable with mean of correct knowledge It recommended that: To upgrade the knowledge of nurses with more information with regard to nursing care of patients with stent the heart and more training and more procedures with more information and health education for patients .
