This study is to shed light on an important aspect of the aspects that covered by the political sociology which is entitled "The social determinants of political culture for university students in Daraa colleges and institutes”. The study depends on the exploration and describe the reality of the political culture of university students and the role of both the family and the educational determinates in the formation of the political culture.This study comes under the exploratory descriptive studies, where it is based on descriptive analytical method which depends on the description and analysis of the reality of the political culture and the role of the family and educational institutions in the formation of this culture, according to the three dimensions of the political culture: cognitive dimension, emotional dimension, and the assessment dimension that have been adopted in the study.The study began with highlighting on the political culture as one of the concepts that penetrates the psycho-political theatre as well as its main definitions, characteristics,and patterns.And the study came through other related concept ssuch as ideology and social values, it also reviewed the most important sources of political culture to deal with later and more detailed and accurate about family and educational institution for university student in Daraa governorate. The study concludes the major findings, recommendations and proposals, and can be referred to the most important results briefly: A.University students in colleges and institutes of Daraa have a political culture that was presented in its inclusion of the three dimensions of the political culture which are as follows: 1. Cognitive dimension which includes a body of knowledge about the political system.2. Emotional dimension that includes colored perceptions emotionally. 3. Assessment dimension which includes the launch of value judgments on political affairs and events.B.The family impact is limited in shaping the political culture of the university students in Daraa colleges and institutes, in spite the fact that there is an interest in politics issues among some of family members. But it did not play an active role in guiding the university students in any particular political direction, but it gave them the freedom, with some times an acceptance and other times carelessness of their political behavior and opinions(students). In addition to the unwillingness of the family in influencing the university students’ options in a friendship with someone because of his political activism, also the family did not affect their electoral opinion but left them the choice to decide.The educational institutions had a role in shaping the political culture of the young students in Daraa colleges and institutes, especially through educational courses which added a lot of the political knowledge to their knowledge inventory. While the role of the school teacher was modest in forming of the political culture, as the percentage will increase slightly with the university professor and it has not reached to a high percentage in order to make a difference in strengthening the role of the university professor of political culture among university students in Daraa colleges and institutes. Also, the university and through its cultural activities that carried out such as political events, political seminars and student conferences, has provided additions to political culture for young university students in Daraa colleges and institutes. But these additions were not highly spread and deep in order to make a difference for students.
