By the grace and success of God, I have completed my dissertation entitled (Manifestations of Sarcasm in the Novels of Khudair Falih al-Zaidi), and the study has reached a number of results, which we summarize as follows:1-In our definition of the concept of sarcasm in its conventional meaning, we noticed the disparity of mockery, as it is synonymous with all meanings of contempt and laughter. Sarcasm also began in the pre-Islamic period until it extended to the modern era, and became a haven for writers to express the conditions of society.2-Sarcasm appeared in the novels of (Khudair Falih Al-Zaidi) to varying degrees. Most of them relied on ridicule from the title to the end, as in the novel (Let the Hedgehog Turn on its Back), the novel (The One Called Saddam Hussein Farhan), and others were less so, as in the novel (The Tail of the Star). And (Castro's map.)3-Sarcasm in a literary work is not limited to sarcasm and laughter only, but rather it is linked to other words that are synonymous with it, such as: humor, irony, sarcasm, jest, ridicule, and contempt, the goal of which is to convey the idea that the writer presents to the reader or to the recipient.4-The sarcastic historical imagination of the Zaidi novelist is evident in portraying society and reality in a new and different way. He combined Breality and innovative imagination to present a critical vision of power and violence. He takes well-known historical figures and depicts them in a sarcastic comedic style.5-As for religious intertextuality, the most influential mockery was on the extremists who carry out their actions under the guise of religion, while in reality they practice other actions. Al-Zaidi mocked the behavior of extremist thought, which leaves an impression on the recipient as a result of these actions, which represented a dark era in the historyof Iraq.6-The novelist presented many sarcastic and stinging contradictions for the purpose of falsifying reality and history through parody, sometimes as political mockery and at other times as religious, to reveal the apparent contradiction in society.7-There are many manifestations of sarcasm in the novels of Khudair Falih Al-Zaidi on various axes, including caricature, sarcastic irony, and the surprise of the reader’s reception horizon. He presented his mockery of society’s contradictions and social problems.8-Al-Zaidi used sarcasm to exaggerate his characters through caricature and highlight physical defects through distortion and exaggeration, and the negative traits of the character he expressed. 9-Sarcastic irony is one of the most important reasons that the novelist resorts to in confronting the negative phenomena and contradictions in the current situation.11-The Zaidi novelist presented his novels with irony in the title, as is the case in his novels (The King in His Pajamas), (Today is Ten),(Ezran Al-Baghdadi’s Atlas), (Let the Hedgehog Turn on His Back.)11-As for satirical dialogue of both types (internal and external), it is based on criticism of some practices and tragic events, because it contains psychological factors that affect the characters and their symbols.12-The satirical narrative event is characterized by its ability to ridicule social events and behavior, and the satirical event contributes to achieving social change from the spread of negative phenomena through a critical vision of reality in society.13-In his satire of time, the Zaidi novelist presented time periods of a political and social nature, as he mocked the disparity of events in a sarcastic manner.14_ The Zaidi novelist adds sarcastically to many facts and contents through his description of the satirical place. He may rely on exaggeration and exaggeration of some sarcastic phenomen
