The Objectives of The Study:The present study seeks to achieve the following objectives:1-Identifying the problems of vocational rehabilitation of the mentally disabled from the viewpoint of their supervisors in vocational rehabilitation centers in the province of Damascus.2-Detection of differences in average scores of supervisors of the mentally disabled in vocational rehabilitation centers on the total score to identify the problems of vocational rehabilitation of the mentally disabled and its sub-fields according to the study variables (gender, age, educational qualification, training courses, the nature of the supervisor's job).3-Third-Research Hypotheses:1-There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of supervisors(males)of the mentally disabled and the average scores of supervisors of the mentally disabled (females)in the total score of the questionnaire of vocational rehabilitation and its sub-fields.2-There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of supervisors of the mentally disabled in the total score of the questionnaire of vocational rehabilitation and its sub-fields according to the educational qualification variable.3-There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of supervisors of the mentally disabled in the total score of the questionnaire of vocational rehabilitation and its sub-fields according to the age variable. IV4-There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of supervisors of the mentally disabled in the total score of the questionnaire of vocational rehabilitation and its sub-fields according to the training courses variable.5-There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of supervisors of the mentally disabled in the total score of the questionnaire of vocational rehabilitation and its sub-fields according to the variable of the nature of the supervisor's job.6-Fourth -Study Tool: Achieving the objectives of the current study required using the following tool :A questionnaire of the problems of vocational rehabilitation of the mentally disabled,where this questionnaire included five fields as follows:-The problems of the disabled individual.-Problems of professional programs.-Problems of the professional cadres.-Problems of professional centers.-problems related to operation.Fifth -The Study Sample: To know the problems of vocational rehabilitation of the mentally disabled from the viewpoint of their supervisors in the province of Damascus,an intended sample was chosen where it amounted (75) supervisors of workers in the vocational rehabilitation centers in the province of Damascus, they are all the workers in these centers.Fifth-The Methodology of the Study:The nature of the current study required using the descriptive analytical method,where the researcher described the problems of vocational rehabilitation of the mentally disabled through access to previous studies and theoretical literature discussed vocational rehabilitation of the disabled in general and people with mental disabilities in particular, analysis of those information, then questionnaire to monitor reality based on the above analysis, and then applying the questionnaire to the sample of the study V and tabulation and analysis of these data using appropriate statistical treatments.Sixth-Procedures for the implementation of the study:The tool of the study was designed and verified for its validity and reliability, then it was applied to the sample between the period ( 15/07/2013 until 08/15/2013 )in order to identify the problems of vocational rehabilitation of the mentally disabled in the province of Damascus Governorate. After that, data were processed statistically and results were discussed in the light of field reality which covered all the stages;designing, implementation and application of the tool of the study, and in the light of the comparison with the results of previous studies, and then reaching a set of recommendations and proposals.
