This study aims to identify strategic leadership practices and its impact on theOrganizational Development in the Palestinian universities in the Gaza strip, theresearcher used the descriptive analytical method, The study Population consisted ofconsisted of all the academic and administrative employees working in Palestinianuniversities (Islamic university, AlAzhar university , and university of Palestine)totaling (285) employee. The researcher used the complete census method.A Questionnaire was designed to collect the necessary data and (253) validquestionnaires were returned with response rate (88.8%).The statistical packages for Social Sciences analysis (SPSS) was used for thedata analysis.The most important findings of the study are follows: The level of strategic leadership practices in Palestinian universities wasgenerally medium with relative weight (66.2%). The strategic orientation wasranked first with a relative weight (67.80%). The last rank was the developmentof human capital to a medium degree, with a relative weight of (63.54%(. The level of organizational development in the Palestinian universities wasrelatively high (68.14%). There is a positive relationship which is statistically significant at the level of(  0.05) between the strategic leadership practices and organizationaldevelopment in the Palestinian universities in Gaza strip. Strategic leadership practices have a significant impact on organizationaldevelopment, anditsaccounted for (74.1%) of the variance of the dependentvariable (Organizational devel opment).The most Important Recommendations of the study are follows: To promote strategic leadership practices and their dimensions to improve thelevel of organizational development through the qualification of seniormanagement in the Palestinian universities to enable them to develop clear andspecific strategic visions and directions. And to promote the concepts ofinnovation and creativity among the employees and students in the surveyedPalestinian universities; and developing the human capital in Palestinianuniversities as a source of strength and competitive advantage to enable themto formulate and implement their strategies successfully. The senior management of universities should constantly strive to implementthe strategies in order to achieve their stability, growth and continuouslyimprovement of the quality of educational services, in addition to that theyshould provide universities with the latest equipment and programs, anddevelop the information network which helps in improving of theorganizational development
