الملخص

In recent years considerable progress has been made in order to guarantee maximum safetytransfused. However, a residual risk remains, that of contracting a viral disease bytransfusion and that, despite donor selection measures. Nevertheless, these results indicate that the studypopulation was infected with syphilis (4%), HCV (19%), HBs (4%) and HIV (0%).Have an efficient health system for screening for disease transmissible by blood is a goodthing, the organization of this system to a preventive struggle and psychological support topatients regardless of the test results, without forgetting that the latter must beindividualized because there is no standard method that would be suitable in all situations.
