الملخص

This study aimsat investigating the impact of morphology and syntax onEnglish Foreign learners translating abilities. The researcher adoptedanalytical descriptive method which combined both qualitative andquantitative analysis. One instrumentwas used for data collection a testfor the (30 students).The data obtained from the sample of the studentsprovided answers to the research questions.The data were analyzed byusing the SPSS program. Some of the most important results which thestudy came up with are; the learners have a real problem resulting fromthe lack of the awareness of these components: conjunctions,prepositions, and subject verb agreement which affected their translatingabilities. The study also offered some recommendations the mostimportant of which are the study can be extended to include largernumber and different levels. The researcher recommended that furtherresearches have to be conducted in these areas.Teachers of Englishshould give more exercises to overcome the problematic areasconjunctions, subject –verb agreement and prepositions.

ترجمة الملخص: ھدفت ھذه الدراسھ لتقصياثرالمعرفةالصرفیةوالنحویةعلي المقدرات الترجمیة لدي طلاب اللغھ الانجلیزیھ.اتبعت الدراسھ المنھج الوصفي والذي زاوج بین نوعي التحلیل الكیفي والكمي استخدم الامتحان لجمع لبیانات من الطلاب )30( اعطي البیانات التي تحصلت علیھا منعینھ الطلاب اجابت علي اسئلھالدراسةالخاصھ بالامتحان.حللت البیانات باستخدام SPSS.من اھم النتائج التي وصلت لھا الدراسھ ھي ان الطلاب لدیھم مشكلھ عدم الالمام بمعرفھ الروابط ,حروف الجر,التوافق بین الفعل والفاعلوترجمتھا مما اثر علي قدراتھم في الترجمھ .كما ان الدراسھ خرجت بتوصیات اھمھا ضروره توسیع الدراسھ لتشمل عدد اكبر ومستویات مختلفھوكذلك طرحت الدراسھ موضوعات للبحوث المستقبلیة
