ترجمة الملخص

In our study, we deal with one of the important topics that link two important variables: “Internet addiction” and “scholastic achievement”. The current study aims to identify the “relationship between Internet addiction and academic achievement among fourth year middle school students”. To achieve the goal of the study, the two researchers used the descriptive approach. The study sample included (60) male and female students (27 males and 33 females) among the fourth year students, with an average of two averages in the state of Medea (Al-Shaheed Mustafa Kwadik) (Al-Shaheed Imam Elias medium) whose ages ranged between (13 and 17 years). The study sample was chosen randomly, and to collect the data for the study, we applied the “Internet Addiction Scale” prepared by the researcher Bushra Ismail Ahmed Arnaut (2007) which is the most appropriate for our subject, the original scale contains (60) items, and it was done in this study. Using the modified version of the scale by (Ahmed Al-Hosini 2012), which contains (56) paragraphs, the rates of the first semester of the school year 2021-2022 were relied on for fourth year students average and were obtained by the directors of the educational institution, and to calculate the results, the use of SPSS statistical package system for version 12 in data analysis in order to verify hypotheses, and using descriptive statistics represented in frequency, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and applied statistics represented in Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test to detect the significance of differences, and Lev's test yen to detect homogeneity. After analysis and discussion, the study concluded the following results:There is no correlation between Internet addiction and academic achievement among fourth year middle school students. -There are no statistically significant differences in Internet addiction according to the gender variable among fourth year average students.-There are no statistically significant differences in academic achievement according to the gender variable among fourth year students, average.
