ترجمة الملخص
This memorandum summarizes the current knowledge on the main mechanisms of action involved in the vasodilatory effects of polyphenoliccompounds. These effects appear to be an important part of the protective properties of these compounds to the cardiovascular system. The in vitro studies show that polyphenolic compounds in wine and grape juice and other vegetable sourc induce endothelium-dependent relaxation involves nitric oxide (NO) in various isolated arteries. This increased formation of NO is mainly due to the increased activity of eNOS, a phenomenon involving two separate mechanisms, one dependent on cytosolic free calcium and the other of the PI3-kinase / Akt. In the long run, the polyphenolic compounds are also capable of increasing the expression of endothelial NO synthase.Furthermore, these compounds have antioxidant properties that improve NO bioavailability by protecting it from degradation by superoxide anions. Polyphenolic compounds also induce dependent relaxationsinvolving endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor to endothelium (EDHF) in coronary arteries. This response is dependent on activation of the endothelial cells in PI3-kinase/Akt. This set of mechanisms could explain the hypotensive properties,anti-hypertensive and anti-atherosclerotic plant polyphenolic compounds in vivo.
