الملخص

The most important using that distinguishes this stage isthe knowledge explosion, telecommunication revolution andthe informatics. These characteristics are connected andoverlapping; the development in each affects the other. In thisresearch, we study the importance and qualification ofdesigning lessons by using programmed instruction methodand multimedia programm, A technique for presenting asubject matter to a student who can work through it at his ownlearning speed, in a graded sequence of controlled steps. Inaddition to that we include the possibility of using thecomputer for producing educational aids, and clarify itscharacteristics and its obstacles.Programmed instruction assisted by Computer is anattractive methods of learning, and can illustrate conceptsthrough attractive animation, sound, and demonstration, itallow students to progress at their own speed. Computerscapture the student’s attention because the programm isatractive, and engage the student’s spirit of competitivness toincrease their scores, computer provide also immediatefeedback.This research includs two important parts, theoretical partcomprises definitions, history, evolution of programmedinstruction and computer assisted instruction. The second part comprise the experiment study, which is based on multimediaprogramm used to learn some courses of “Materialreferences” module, in “Librarianship studies”.The most important results of this research are:- This method of learning by using reduce time of learning- it contributes to more efficient classroom procedure- it calls for active participation of the learner.- it enables students to work individually.
