In recent years, Magnetic refrigeration in the vicinity of room temperature has aroused great interest because of its high energy efficiency and its ability to remove greenhouse gases. Magnetocaloric effect is an intrinsic property of a magnetic material (ferromagnetic) which results in a reversible temperature variation of the material under the action of an external magnetic field. CASTEP digital modeling code is a program used for modeling and optimizing the structural, mechanical and magnetic properties of a conventional cell of a magnetic refrigeration system, this program is based on quantum mechanics. The main objective of this study is to develop calculation, analysis and optimization tools to study, design and develop magnetic refrigeration systems. We will propose an optimization of this thermal behavior. The main predictors obtained in the study of magnetic and structural properties of quaternary alloys (Ni Co Mn Sn) and of (Ni Co Mn La) allow us to state that the structure in the ferromagnetic state is more stable; this makes this material a good candidate for different applications.
